An Inspiring Story of Overcoming Moral Injury
The Covid pandemic of 2020 caused all of us problems, and cost many people their lives. We are still counting the costs as a society, and there are innumerable questions about the different ways the disease AND our individual and governmental responses to it that may never be fully answered.
But one thing is certain: healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, medics, chaplains, and many others) paid a high price, often with their personal safety and emotional health on the line as well.
Today on Everyday Hope I’m joined by an incredible young man whose career as a critical care nurse in Indiana was just getting started in 2020, when he found himself thrust into the heart of a global pandemic. The ways in which it affected his emotional and spiritual health, and how he found his way back to hope and faith again are inspiring, and will help you when you face your Massive Thing.
Meet Hayden Vroegop, a flight and critical care nurse, who has lived a great example of implementing the treatment plan of self-brain surgery when life gets hard.
